Welcome to all mothers, which ever season you are in, you will find something here for you.
If your children are young, there will be books and resources to help you parent.
If your children are the same age as mine, 7 - 11 in 2026, you will find help in raising emotionally and mentally healthy and mature children.
If you are moving to the next season of motherhood where your children need you less and you are starting something for yourself, there is something for you here too.
It took a lot of false turns in life to end up here. It also took a lot of failure and courage to see this site come to live. How did it start?
Looking back
A decade ago, I was an engineer in a male-dominated industry, which often felt incompatible. However, this job took me to Switzerland, where I eventually settled. Realizing it was time for a change, I pursued a Master’s in Childhood and Youth Studies.
Immediately after
I started my own school teaching english and mandarin to children 3 - 12. I felt like everything was working out. Along the way, I also became a mother of 3.
10 years into it
Covid arrived, just when I wanted to ramp up my working hours as my youngest is in Kindergarten. I had to close my school as I could not compete with online courses from China. It felt really heavy for me.
The Moment
I felt like I had to restart everything. As I was seeking other options consulting my younger mom friend at this faithful restaurant, she in turn asked me if I could recommend a book to teach her child stop hitting others. In fact, her son just announced in front of all the mothers outside playgroup “Mummy, I hit every child in the playgroup!”. I could feel her desperation as a younger mother, needing tools to help her parent easier, not knowing that IT IS A DEVELOPMENTAL PHASE.
The book
I knew exactly what she needed. Not just any book — a book where her child could see himself doing the right thing.
A personalized book. Built on the science of visualization - see yourself succeed before you do; and self-modelling - I mimic myself.
Having worked with children and being a mom, I knew this could work. More about the principles behind the book.
A false start
I started drafting the book and as I could not draw, I invited a friend to start this venture. We made the first potty book in three languages.
We went to a fair, sold 10 copies as a test launch. It looks very promising, till one day, our partnership broke apart before our official launch. My heart felt on the floor again.
Rising Again
After months of doubt, I got clarity of my next move from reading, and planning and experimenting.
I took courage to write three more personalized books. Tested the personalization process and now, you are looking at my website offering a new genre of books called, MOTHERS PICTURE BOOKS.
R.I.S.E up Moms
From regaining confidence after failures to branding myself, this journey of restarting after setbacks and entering into the new phase of motherhood where children need less of me, have also led me to create the RISE Masterclass for mothers who were once a stay-at-home-mom, to relaunch their lives.
